This blog is in leiu of Karens (Brady's Karen) threat to take our link off their blog if we didn't update ours...Here you are Karen! Enjoy!!! :)
Easter Fun:
We had Karen's sister and her husband come up to have dinner and decorate easter eggs. It was a lot of fun and Dave and I got really creative with our eggs. We won the contest! Okay, so there wasn't a contest but ours was the best!
Karen surprised me by waking up in the middle of the night and hiding eggs all around the house. She said it was really fun but tricky to set her alarm, get up, hide the eggs, and get in bed without me waking up. What I didn't realize was that she snoozed her alarm for forty minutes! Oh how I love my fan! I didn't hear a thing.
Karen went out and bought me this shirt for easter. It fits really nice, and she says it makes me look hot!

Critters in the Attic:
The first month that we were married, Karen and I were talking in the living room when all of a sudden we heard some thumping and scratching in the attic. We have heard it several times since! At first it wasn't that loud of a noise but as time went on the noise became increasingly louder. One night it was so loud we thought it was a "rodent of unusual size" and called for help. We told Paul and Angela about it. Paul was so intrigued, he wanted to come over for Family Home Evening with his boys and take a look inside.
The pictures below are when Karen was home by herself. She got so unnerved by the noise that she went over to Paul and Angela's to have them come and take a look. Unfortunately they didn't discover anything that night so an exterminator came, looked around, and put some poison all over.
To this day we have no idea what it is. Karen thinks it was a raccoon. Ideas have been thrown around of it being a bat, rat, pigeon, owl, and cat. When the exterminator went in the attic he found a carcass of a bird. I guess that eliminates the idea of it being a pigeon. Since the exterminator, we haven't heard anything.

This is for Cory: Meals!
In February our fridge broke. It was still cold enough so we put most of the food on the balcony. In the morning we heard some strange noises coming from outside. We peeked out our window and saw that a magpie had pecked a hole in the bag and was eating our cheese. Here are the leftovers.

This is Karen making bread in the new bosch we got from our wedding. It works great!

This dinner may look good. We struggled making it. It was our first meal we made together. The potatoes were too runny. The gravy tasted like flour and we didn't have any real chicken. We used the chicken patties as a replacement. The corn and grape juice however, tasted great!

Our valentines day breakfast. This meal turned out much better than the potatoes.

We had NO food. We had not yet gone shopping and our fridge had broken so we threw out our eggs and milk. The water was a good substitute.

Random Activities:
We couldn't help but take this picture. At the Draper open house we were in line to get on the bus and saw this adorable looking kid with a one of a kind haircut. Maybe this haircut will come back in style.
Valentines day dinner at Breadstix. You can't really see it in the picture but Karen was clever enough to get a picture of the server (she is above the flower), who was hitting on everyone else's husbands. It was a good thing she didn't serve our table, Karen would have been upset!

K you guys are awesome! That picture of the kids' hair cracks me up. Remember when we went to Six Flags in CA and I took a picture of you in the line... but was REALLY taking a picture of that guy with the hideous mullet? I think we need to make a collectors book of all the bad hair see. There are so many great opportunities!
YES! You are probably the only Edwards boy who responds to a threat from me. haha!
I remember many a disgusting meal at the beginning of our marriage, in the middle of our marriage...and still today. At least you have Mom and Ang nearby to save you.
You married the right Karen. She BAKES BREAD???!!!! I'm impressed.
Love you guys!
Karen Elizabeth
We made chili as thick as tomato paste our first year, nasty, nasty stuff. Who cares how dinner tastes though if you eat bread that looks like that!
Thanks for coming up to Idaho and visiting with us this weekend! Time flew by, but it was so fun.
And Karen, if you beat me again in Tennis, you are not invited to come back. ;)
I'm so jealous of the Jazz tickets? How the heck did you get those?!?!
