I Graduacated!!!

Ryan has GRADUATED!!! What an exciting day....

This is Ryan's last day of school for his undergraduate degree. He took a picture of himself giving a thumbs up because he was SO EXCITED!!!
"Where's Waldo/Ryan." You can't really see him in the picture but just know that he is somewhere amongst all of the other graduating students being herded to their seats. He was wearing a white shirt so I think he is the one that is the "second white collared shirt" from the left. His face is facing the direction of the camera.
It was such a privilege to hear President Monson give a speech. He talked about "Glancing Backward, Stretching Outward, and Pressing Forward." It was very appropriate and was accepted well. It was neat to see most of the people in the auditorium give him a standing ovation before and after he spoke. The entire first presidency was there! They weren't on the stand but on the first row seated where everyone else was sitting. We were too far away to get a really good picture of them. All you could see was President Eyring's bald head and President Uchtdorf's white hair. Their wives were there with them.
Lucky for us all of the graduates walked out of the room after commencement right next to where we were sitting. We were able to take a nice close up of him after he had officially gone through commencement and had shifted his tassel from the right side of his hat to the left.
He got his "diploma!" "That a boy Luther!" And yes, Brady, Cory, and Scott, I have seen that movie and have quoted it many times...even before I came into the family ;)
Mom and Dad were able to come to everything. They were there for the commencement as well as watching him walk.
My parents and little brothers and sisters were able to come to watch him walk. Angela, Paul and Logan were there as well.
So happy, and so in love! :)
Afterward the rest of my family and the Ritchie family came over to the love shack to have dinner. We had a total of 28 people for dinner! It was the first time that I have ever cooked for that many people! I think it turned out okay. I had a lot of help from my family, Mom Edwards and Angela. THANK YOU!

It was too cold to have the little kids eat outside on the picnic table so we had them out on our patio where they could come inside quicker if needed. It looked so funny to have so many little kids out there. The three that are "cheesing it" are my nieces and nephews from my eldest brother.

All in all we are really proud of Ryan and it was fun to share such an important day with him!

"Atta boy, Luther!" Just had to get it out (and I'm impressed that you knew this K2!). Congrats big man Ryan! Looks like a fun time, sorry we missed it.
