As you all know Ryan went to a career fair his first semester here at WSU and met a man from Wenatchee who was very much interested in getting to know Ryan more. After introducing themselves at the fair and getting more into the conversation, connections were made regarding religion, missions, and speaking the same language from their missions. As it turns out interest was perked and an offer extended to possibly do an internship with his company. They exchanged phone numbers, email addresses and have kept in touch since.
We were invited this last weekend to travel over to Wenatchee, which is a three hour drive from where we are currently living, to visit and be introduced to the company and his business partner. When we arrived we spent time getting to know one another and how the company started.
To save you from a lot of detail about our exchanges, Ryan and I left, after meeting with everyone, seriously considering the fact that we may be moving to Wenatchee. The potential of the internship turning into the year of fellowship (so Ryan can get credentialed) and then a job was definitely discussed. We feel as if this would be a great opportunity and are very excited to see how and when everything plays out. We are still checking into other options for a internship but feel very good about the one in Wenatchee!
We didn't take a ton of pictures of Wenatchee but here are just a couple. It really reminded us of Utah Valley with the brown mountain in the background looking like west mountain or the point of the mountain.

There is also the Columbia river that passes right on through the city dividing it right in half.

There are apple orchards everywhere!!!

The company was kind enough to put us up in a hotel for the night and give us all day Saturday to do what we wanted. Wenatchee is twenty minutes outside of Leavenworth so we headed back and had a blast! It really is such a fun and cute little little town.

Last time we were here I promised Ryan that if we came back we would get him a bratwurst. It was so good! He definitely enjoyed his lunch.

Instead of having buses around the town they had Trolleys! I could not help but love them. It just reminded me of Mr. Rogers neighborhood. I seriously smiled every time I saw them!

Ryan is taking his last two finals for the winter semester on Monday and Tuesday this week. He will then start summer classes the second week in May. After summer he has fall semester and then is done with classes! We would be doing the internship at the beginning of the year, January of 2012. We have to have everything decided upon and figured out by June. We can't believe how fast school is going and how fast time just slips by.
We had a very enjoyable weekend in Wenatchee and revisiting Leavenworth. We have loved being out here in Washington these last eight and a half months and look forward to where our life is heading whether it is here in Washington or somewhere else!

This looks like a charming place to live. Congratulations to both of you for getting these steps figured out!
